IFR GPS Procedures

So you have your Instrument rating, but with all the new GPS equipment available are you really getting the most out of it! Let our instructors show you the new GPS systems and all the advantages they can offer! Our instructors are up to date on the latest GPS equipment. We can show you the most efficient way to utilize this equipment. If you fly GPS equipped aircraft we can show you how to get the most out of any system and explain what can be added to your aircraft to maximize these new systems. Our instructors are also up to date on "Glass Panels" and auxiliary equipment that is used in combination with GPS systems. Mountain Flying	If you want to fly near or in mountainous terrain you will need some special knowledge. We can show what dangers to look out for to fly in the mountains safely! Our instructors have the knowledge and real world experience to show you the "ropes" of mountain flying!

Flying in the weather

Flying in the weather can be tricky and dangerous! Our instructors with years of experience can give you the tools to fly safely in the weather. We will teach you how to read radar, stormscopes, and other sources of in-flight and ground information to make an informed decision on your flight path. With this knowledge you can make the decisions to avoid the worst of the weather and stay safe on the "Bad" days!

Getting Some Actual IFR

Any pilot can get "current" on instruments to be "proficient" takes a bit more. Our instructors will get you proficient on instruments and take you into "actual" IFR. You will get the real thing that no simulator or set of foggles can teach you. Our instructor’s equipped with years of knowledge and the latest equipment can take you into IFR conditions safely and teach you the tricks that will make the difference. You will be flying in actual IFR and get the experience to safely use your instrument rating to its fullest. When you are done with our "actual" IFR training you will have the tools and the confidence to fly IFR!
